See GhostStat work on a real shop: the Harbor Roast live demo
Don’t take our word for it. Harbor Roast Coffee is a demo shop measured by GhostStat without cookies. Click around, add a coffee to the cart, then find your own visit in the demo account.

Every analytics tool shows a polished screenshot. We’d rather let you watch GhostStat work. Harbor Roast Coffee is a small coffee shop we built for one reason: to be measured. This analytics demo lets you be the visitor first and the analyst second, and see what GhostStat makes of your own clicks.
The whole demo in 70 seconds, music only. On a phone? Play the vertical version.
What Harbor Roast is
Harbor Roast Coffee lives at harborroast.ghoststat.me. It looks and behaves like a real web shop:
- Products and a cart, with a checkout and order confirmation.
- A coupon: the shop offers 10% off a first order with a code, and a downloadable coupon.
- A brew-guide video, so media plays get measured too.
- A podcast and PDF downloads.
The shop is fictional. Nothing is charged and nothing is shipped; a banner at the top of every page says so. The analytics, though, are real: every visit is measured by GhostStat, without cookies, exactly as it would be on your own site.
Try the analytics demo in three steps
- Visit the shop. Open harborroast.ghoststat.me, read a product page, scroll, play the brew guide.
- Act like a customer. Add something to the cart, try the coupon, go through the checkout. Or leave halfway, because that is interesting data too.
- Open the demo account. On the GhostStat home page, click Explore the demo. You land in a read-only GhostStat account with the shop’s data, and your visit is in there.
What to look for in the demo account
The demo account is the same app our customers use, read-only. Some places worth opening:
- Real-time. See who is on the shop right now, possibly including you, with the page they’re on.
- Visitor intelligence. Each visit is scored for intent, friction and attention. A visit that went straight to checkout reads very differently from one that wandered through the podcast page and left.
- Heatmaps. Where people click and how far they scroll on the product pages, per device.
- Session recordings. Replays of visits, with every form input masked, so even the checkout fields show as hidden. Recordings are built on rrweb, an open-source recording library.
- Funnels and ecommerce. How many visitors go from product to cart to checkout to order, where they drop out, and what the orders were worth.
- Media and downloads. How much of the brew guide people watch and which PDFs they take.
Every one of these tools is included on every GhostStat plan, Free too. The features page lists them all.
A short tour: one visit, five views
Here is a route through the demo that shows how the tools fit together. Say you opened a product page, scrolled to the reviews, added a bag of coffee to the cart and left on the checkout page.
- In real-time you appear as a visitor on the checkout page, with your country and device.
- In visitor intelligence your visit gets its own intent, friction and attention scores. A visit that adds to the cart and then stops at checkout is exactly the kind a shop owner wants to look at first.
- In the funnel you are one of the people who reached checkout but didn’t order, so you count in the drop-off between those two steps.
- On the heatmap of the product page, your clicks and your scroll depth join everyone else’s.
- In session recordings the visit can be replayed, with the checkout fields masked.
Five reports, one visit. That is the idea behind GhostStat: every tool writes to the same visitor, so you read one story instead of joining five tools.
What the demo account can’t do
The demo account is read-only. You can open every report, change date ranges and filters, and click through to details, but you can’t change settings, add sites or invite people. Those are things you try in your own free account, on your own site.
The demo data is a mix of visits like yours and generated visits, recorded through the shop with the real GhostStat tracker and replayed, so there is always enough data to look at. The order numbers and customers in it are invented, like the shop.
Why a demo shop and not a sales call
Analytics is easy to oversell. A demo with fake numbers proves only that the screenshots look good. A shop that is really measured shows the things that matter: how quickly a visit appears, whether the scores make sense to you, and whether the reports answer your questions without a manual.
It also shows what “no cookies” looks like in practice. Harbor Roast has no cookie banner for analytics, because GhostStat stores nothing on the visitor’s device. Our post on cookieless analytics without a cookie banner explains how that works.
Who the demo is for
If you run a web shop, the funnel, ecommerce and recordings views are the ones to open first. If you publish content, look at attention scores, scroll depth on the heatmaps and how far people get in the brew-guide video. If you build sites for clients, open a few reports side by side and ask yourself whether your client could read them without you. That last question is the one we designed GhostStat around.
Then try it on your own site
When you’ve seen enough, the step to your own site is small:
- Create a free account at ghoststat.me; no card is needed.
- Add your site and paste the one-line snippet, or install the GhostStat Analytics plugin on WordPress.
- Open your dashboard. Your own first visit shows up in the real-time view.
